Do all feature phones browse the web at about the same speed?
I have a Samsung Intensity 2 and have been thinking about switching to the LG Extravert because it has a higher screen resolution and I was wondering if it would be any faster at browsing the web, but couldn't find any info.

All depends more on your connection speed than the resolution of the device.
If you are looking for a fuller web experience then an upgrade to smart phone would be more worthwhile.
Feature phones are really on good for traditional usage patterns.
