We have a huge family room/dining room combo and put up 2 Harbor Breeze Fans. How can we get the remotes to work independently instead of together? The remotes we have will turn both fans and lights off and on. How do we separate them?

Have to change the pin codes. They are in the transmitter and receiver. Set them differently. Drop the ceiling cover where the receiver is located. Change the pin codes, the little slide tab. Note the on/off pattern. Now, set one remote to that same pattern, should work.
