Yoga can be an exercise regimen designed to increase function, strength and mobility while at the same time decreasing stress.
Yoga as a religion seeks God and strives to be one with God through study and meditation and living a certain way.

You can do it, any exercise also breathing exercise. Just omit the religious mantra chanting part.

I think that all of the religious scripts about the same God, because there is no God beside him. Before Muhammad or Jesus or Moses or all of the prophet the God still remains the one for all from the beginning of our time. It's simple

Mantra could be used for many purposes depending upon the kind of mantra,which god its refer to and what is purpose of the person who chanting. General purpose to achieve own objectives.
