    "Hotkeys"? F-keys?
I don't even know what to call this... but I'd like to make it so that by hitting a key, or combination of keys, some text that I have designated will be inserted wherever my cursor is.

    Can I do that?

I've got Windows XP if that helps.

    Thanks!

You can do this in Word with a macro. If you want to do this ANYWHERE in Windows, you can get a third party macro tool. There are several. I used to use one called AnyKeys.

Heater blows cold when "On", not at all on "Auto" [ 1 Answers ]

Our gas heater is 7 years old, and has worked fine in the two years we've rented here. This winter though, we can't get it to work consistently. When on "Auto", it doesn't turn on at all, no matter what temperature we select, and when we turn the fan to "On", it simply blows cold air. It...
