But a lousy margarita is like lousy sex... better'n a stick in the eye. Well... unless the lousy sex involves sticks. Um...

The secret to happiness is to lower your standards faster than you can fail to met them, y'know.

The American Dream is a load of manure, basically, used to pedal any scheme or venture or devil's tool in the name of success. Gee, was that too harsh? I think it is one of those ideals that has done more harm than good. Although my Great Grandparents came over with the American Dream in their heart. If they would have stayed in Russia, they would have died - as their village was plundered and pillaged and burnt down by order of the not so great Catherine. So, I do owe a debt I can never repay to those ancestors who braved the totally unknown.

That explains why I am so deliriously happy. My standards are so low that a stick in the eye sounds like a barrelful of Capuchins. Where is the monkeyboy? Saw his party joke on the "nerd" posting in this forum. I think it is time for him to get back to the test lab.

By the way, I am very picky about my margaritas. Martinis on the other hand, I am easy with. They all taste the way rubbing alcohol smells to me. I'll go easy on J-9 though. She was kind enough to invite me to her party. I will just stick with the beer. As long as she doesn't send me back to the hospital for the criminally insane again, I will move past our little falling out.

I see our British mate was drinking a good Aussie Fosters Beer.

Very funny though. Love good pommy humour.

Shy! Me too! My great grandmother was a young widow with 3 young girls when she came in through Ellis Island, didn't know a word of English. Barely had anything but the clothes on her back. It still amazes me to think of how brave she was and I am very grateful that my family escaped. After all that, she wound up marrying a lazy bum and worked her fingers to the bone to support her extended family. So, much for her American Dream. But if she didn't come here, you all wouldn't have had the pleasure of my company. :D
