Can you download skype from window 8 to come to your desktop, but not on the charm
I have already preinstall on my window 8. I was reading the reviews on the window 8and the sype app and I read that you couldn't sign out off skype on the window 8 charm app. So I am wondering, can I download skype from the official website to my desktop? To me I want to sign out off my skype account after I am done because I want skype account to be save.

Where did you hear you can't sign out? Press Alt+F4 and it will close the app.

If you choose to allow it to remember it, it will.

Will that still work for what? If you are signed in using your Microsoft account, then, when you load Skype it should automatically log you in. But, if you close down Skype with Alt+F4, it is removed from memory.

If you’re signed in to Skype for Windows 8 with your Microsoft account, you can’t sign out of Skype. However, you can easily create another Windows 8 user account and sign in to Skype with a different Skype name. For more details kindly check at-
