To make a bread sandwich does it take 2 or 3 pieces of bread to make it

Guess it really about what you like, normally 2 pieces are considered a sandwich, but if your dieting, its 2 whole grain bread perferably.

2 pieces of bread are classed as a sandwich and 3 pieces are classed as a club sandwich.

The third piece of bread is not a filling - you would be eating a bread sandwich then. Unless, as curlybenswife stated, you made a club sandwich. Your filling in the sandwich is anything you like - egg salad, a piece of meat, a piece of cheese, lettuce and tomato, etc.
