    Stock Dividend Yields
    Wonder how they get 10.40% annual Dividend Yield on stock selling at $11.23 a share 0.10 dividend is that quarterly or annually. Maybe be cause it had ex-dividend?

    Yield = annual dividend / price

    In the case you cited, assuming monthly payments, the annual dividend is $1.20.
    1.2 / 11.23 = 10.68%

    It looks like the yield quoted was based on prior days price.
    1.2 / 11.52 = 10.41%

    Thanks a million. That dividend listed 0.10 a share got me. If its on the quarter it would be .40 cents annually. 40/11.23= 3.25%

    But at the $1.20 annually it is .30 cents a share on the quarter
