    MAYR ARC model
    I have been asked to model Mayr arc model for power vacuum switch that will be used in a power circuit breakers using a matlab or other software package to see the effect of arc voltage droop as a function of conductivity and to show them in a plot . I have found the mayr arc model equation which is
    (1/G)* (dG/dt)= (1/τ)*((EI/N) -1)

    where G= 1/R= conductivity (S)
    No= arc loss constant (W)
    τ = arc time constant (Sec)
    E= arc voltage (V)
    I = arc current (A)

    And also Mayr assumes constant arc diameter and constant arc power loss (No).

    The question is, how can this be modeled using Matlab, or how do I know the each varable and constant in the above equation?
    Thank you
