    Old debt
    I have just received a letter from a debt recovery firm saving I owe more than 2k on a credit card I had 13 years ago,I have had no other contact with this or any other company regarding this over the 13 years period,what is the law on this as they say if I don't pay they will proceed to take me to court and I will have to pay costs on top.:mad:

    Look in the Bankruptcy and Debt forum (where this should have been posted). There are dozens of threads with a similar situation that have actions you can follow.

    Most likely the SOL has expired and they will be unable to file suit to collect, Send them a letter disputing the alleged debt, and to validicate it.
