    If the button you speak of is where the knob is on the control face,that is where electricity goes through to enable the timer and cycles.

    Seek a professional to find the problem and please unplug the appliance.Water and electricity don't mix.

    There is a gasket that repairs the catch on the soap dispenser from leaking into the door.
