    Chemistry question on J.J. Thomson's cathode-ray experiment!
    My question:
    Describe what happens to the ray as it passes through the electrically charged plates in J.J. Thomson's cathode-ray tube experiment?

    They follow a parabolic trajectory towards the direction of the positively charged plate.
