    Appendictis
My 10 yr old son woke up Monday morning with pain on the right side of his stomach. It is a dull pain but at times he complains it gets sharper but goes away fast. He doesn't have a raised temp. He is a little nauseous but hasn't thrown up. Could this be appendictis? And when should I take him to doctor or er?

I don't think the ER, but his pediatrican would be a good idea. Dull pain, sharper at times and goes away fast does not sound like appendicitis; but how crediable can a l0 year old be explaining symptoms. We can't diagnose here on AMHD. There are many reasons, one is we don't know the person, we don't know medical history, and quite frankly can't see him/her, and impossible to do over the internet. So if you are worried about your son's symptoms, take action the best way you see fit, but don't ask strangers how you should proceed, it could be a life threatening situation for your son or anyone.
