I have a liked this guy who I know since I was a kid for almost 7 years.. I used to initially think it was an adolescent infatuation only to realize that I ended up liking him more as the years passed.we live in different cities but meet often.. last year he told me he is dating somebody else and I was heart broken but took it in my stride and continued to talk to him as a friend. Over the last year I was asked out by several other men but I just couldn't get over him so I refused.A few days back he called me and said he had very painful break -up and told me all about it. He said it had been ages since he spoke to someone for so long.I was ecstatic. I realized I was still in love with him. He too seemed to reciprocate the feelings although I can't be too sure. He got a job promotion and at the moment says he is very busy.I tried calling him several times and texting but didn't get any reply. He sent a text saying work was hectic and that he was sorry.but I miss him terribly.. I am seriously confused.. what do I do?I can't deal with another heartbreak..

Give him time he just got out of a breakup. Do you want to be that worthless rebound? I don't think you do. Let him heal and forget about his ex. If you both end up together and he isn't over his ex, you're both going to end up unhappy and unfulfilled.

Just settle down and give him some space.

You.. I guess you're right.that was the reason I didn't make any moves either.. but its just hard waiting for something I had almost given up hope on all over again.but something tells me I shouldn't lose hope.. thank you so much!

You don't need to lose hope or give up. Just take a few steps back and give him a bit of space. Let him move on and come to you.
