Medicare supplement in sc for people under 60
I am 55 years old and disabled since 2002. I need a medicare supplement, but AARP told me that in SC you have to be 65 to get a supplement, is this true? And if so why? I live on 668 dollars a month and have 2 doctors that I see regularly don't see others because I can't afford it. What is a person to do? Are there any medicare supplements available in SC for people under age 65?

South Carolina is one of the states that does not offer under age 65 medicare supplements for the disabled. If your income is only $688 a month then you are better off getting a Medicare Advantage plan with a zero monthly premium. Even if you could get a Medicare Supplement plan because you are under 65 the rates would be very expensive.
