    Need medical advice...
I have a scratchy throat, nonproductive coughing very frequent and deep, no fever, no swollen glands, no spots on throat, no swelling in tonsils. Nothing seems to work. Is there something OTC or Herbal that could help? Have already tried loratidine, mucinex dm, and dayquil, cloraseptic spray to no avail. No Hlth ins so can't go er.

You don't need health insurance for the ER. But your situation would put you lowest on their triage system, so probably not worth the trip... although antibiotics would probably clear this up in jig-time.

Is the main concern the unproductive cough?

Skip the whiskey then and use the honey. Excellent home remedy for cough and sore throat.

This is not medical advice but based on experience and historic observation.
