Its what the lazy and the cheap expect to get for free.. Free medical coverage... that other people are expected to pay for so they don't have to give up any of their money to buy their own insurance... usually it's the people that voted for Obama that expect the handouts... they are the 47% for effectively pay no federal taxes... so the 53% of us that doe effectively have to pay not only for our own... but theirs too.

And it includes tens of millions of illegals that don't even belong in this country getting a free ride at the expense of the more productive members of society... providing more incentive for millions of other illegals to swarm the borders.

Nothing is free... somebody is always stuck with the bill in the end.

And as much as I would love to blame Obama for this plan his party did most of it, many of the features to control costs or provide low cost care were never included. It is basically going to require insurance companies to insure you regardless of health.

What part of it don't you understand? The plan is far-reaching and has many provisions. But the basics is requiring everyone to have some level of health insurance. If you can afford you will be billed if not provisions will be made.

I have a problem with the basic premise that half of us will pay twice as much so the other half the people get a free ride in exchange for their votes...

That and the People that think Europes system is so great have never seen it first hand... and also will be disappointed to find out how much ISN'T covered there...

Gynecologists = Out of pocket

Dentist = Out of pocket

Medication = out of pocket

Specialist = Out of pocket

Mamogram screenings and Colonoscopies = out of pocket

And the list goes on... been there, been intimately familiar with it since 1988... to the curent day.

It means that, as an American citizen, you are now required to have health insurance or pay a penalty.

Massachusetts already has a mandate in place for health insurance. It works thusly: if you are deemed by the state as unable to afford private insurance and your employer does not offer health insurance, then you can apply for state coverage. If you do not have insurance, you're expected to pay a penalty of $1,000 annually.

Now the twist. Although your employer may offer health insurance, it is not required to pay a single penny of the premium. In this scenario, you're now disqualified from MassHealth. Do you pay a penalty to the state or purchase your employer's insurance? Most people choose the cheaper option. My best friend is in this situation. It's cost effective for him to pay the penalty rather than to pay an insurance premium. He pays $1,000 a year to be uninsured.

Also, MassHealth covers the bare minimum (smoothy touched on this). Complex procedures and medications are not included. Example: if you are covered by MassHealth, have a illness like Lupus or cancer and you are have little disposable income, you will die just as if you had no insurance in the first place.

The bottom line of Romneycare is health insurance is actually worse for Massachusetts residents who need it the most. The citizens who truly benefit from Romneycare are young, healthy and self-employed. I and many, many others expect the same mess from Obamacare.

The question will be what is considered enough money to afford, as I noted, a close friend of mine with three people in he family was trying to get coverage for the man and wife, ( child is covered by the state) The cost of the insurance is about 800 a money for private insurance, hey only make about 1200 a month. The state said that 1200 is too much money to get free coverage from the state ( at this point and time) So what do the do.
