    Coachlight placment
    How far from the edge of my brick molding should I center my outside coachlight? :rolleyes:

    If you have room, I would come out about a foot. That way people will be less likely to bump into it as they approach the door. I think it would look better if you leave at least 2-3 inches from the brick mold. Don't forget, outside the door frame you have a double stud on each side.

    Agreed. Unless a specific location is requested by a homeowner/gc, I always locating my wire tails level with the top of doors rough opening and 1 foot out. This allows for easy lamp changing yet like was mentioned is out of the way. Also if the siders bury my tail I know exactly where to look for it.
