What things can I do in high school that can go towards becoming a vet
Hi my name is Georgia and I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on things I can do at school and/or out of school that will contribute to myself becoming a vet/working with ALL animals. I really would love to become a vet not just locally and in zoos but around the world and working in the field as well. Thank you :)

Volunteer at your local animal shelter and walk or brush or feed or clean up after various kinds of animals.Or volunteer at a zoo even if all you do is deal with visitors -- good training for learning how people's minds work and how they act/react. When you're old enough, get a job working at a vet's office (or a zoo), even if all you do is clean cages and sweep the floor.

My "adopted" daughter just stooped by my house. She is enrolled for a pre-vet college program in the fall. She suggests that you join a club like FFA if your school has it. It not only taught her about animals, but got her some scholarships as well.
