    When I start my TV which is connected to a sky bo it turns on first and then turns of
    My TV turns on then turns off with no picture and the power light begins to blink

    What make and model of TV is it and how is the sky (satellite box) connected.

    Also, how many times does the power light blink? Or does it just repeatedly blink? Do any other lights blink?

    Have you tried unplugging it for a while?
