Will they have to go too ?
I am 15 years old going on 16 and have spoken out about my parents Physical and mental abuse on me last year and I was taken away from home for a bit but token back because my parents refuse to sign custody over to anyone. A few months ago my father started punching me in my face and I got scared and told my Guidance counselor and she called D.C.F again and they did nothing about it but talk to my parents. Being back at home its been a bitter hell from the things they say to me they call me every name in the book from *Animal to slut and I could not take it no more so I ran away and was caught and brought back home. I'm home now and DO NOT WANT TO BE THERE but my only fear is them not taking my little brother and sister way from the house cause honestly my parents LOVE them and they get whatever they want and they get alone well. All I want is for me to leave and them to be left there for there won good. Well they have to leave too because that's what I don't want and why I have not said anything no more and my parents old me to shut up about it all

Your brother and sister are not abused? Only you? That's odd. Usually if one in the household is abused, the others are too. I would imagine that if you were able to call the police next time something happens, they would have to investigate the incident. I certainly hope that this does not happen again.

Tell any authority you can... teachers, principal, clergy, police, anyone who may be able to help. I'm sorry, but there's not a lot that we can do here over the internet except to be a sounding board and friend.

    Peace...

I'm sorry, but I lost track of the story at the end. I know your question is about your fear that your brother and sister will now be taken away too, but I lost it there. If DCF investigates further? Or what? Who said they'd be taken away? Your parents, or DCF, or the guidance counselor?
Also, why are they calling you a slut in particular? Often when a teen starts going out and either having sex or parents think they are, then parents can be pretty awful. They are afraid for you but not all of them handle it with love and understanding. It isn't easy when the dangers are so many. Pregnancy, disease, drugs, crime, death.
So tell us more, if you wish and can...

If your parents are abusive with you, they will be with them also, and yes very likely if they are found to be unfit, all the children will be put in foster care, not just you.

So what is cause of this has things changed, if a grown man punches you in the face there will be serious brusiing , cuts, black eyes and more, so did the police of CPS see all of the evidence of the abuse.

My sister is a social worker and her experience indicates that this is simply not true. It is NOT uncommon for one child to be the target.

I'll ask her for some research to back this up. What do you have from your point of view?

To the OP - you need to speak to a Social Worker at school. If one is not on staff, ask the school to bring one in.

I want you to call this number NOW. Don't be afraid to embellish, make it sound like life or death if you have to. That is the only way to be removed from the home now.

    1-877-237-0004

The information I gave you above, about embellishing, came from a CASA, my mother-in-law who helps children in your situation.

At least that's been my experience with abused/neglected children. Your sister would have far more experience than I do. Abusive drunks will beat on anyone near them - that's what I've seen with friends who grew up that way. With neglect, I've seen that if they don't take care of one, they don't take care of the others either. Again, just my life experiences.

I tried to find statistics that show one way or the other, but have found it difficult so far.

No problem - and I don't know which is true. And, yes, people with addiction problems take it out on everyone. I'm thinking of a family where one child is a whipping post (so to speak). Hopefully someone who posts here knows.

The OP could be removed and not her siblings.
