You say you have been to the hospital but you haven't told us what they said it was.
I doubt anyone here is going to be able to help you... you may simply need to see a specialist about this.

That was going to be my question - herpes? Has anyone treated you when you are in a flare?
I'd find a Physician and not rely on the ER for treatment. And, yes, it could very well be herpes.

If it were herpes the hospital would have to inform you that it is a communicable disease. Again, what did the hospital diagnose?

Good catch, Tick - VERY good catch. Yes, she should have been told IF it's herpes. If they weren't certain, the word "might" should have been put into the sentence.
I was hoping someone with a medical background would come along!

There is no way to know what this is via the Internet. It's possible that it could be herpes, or staph, or yeast. Rather than going to the ER, that treats for acute illness, it would be best to make an appointment with a GP.

JKT there is someone here with a medical background, at least as close as one gets to J-9. I volunteer in the community at a clinic treating homeless people because I am an RNA.

You mis-read me (I think). I know you have a medical background. I meant I was glad to see YOU come along.
Of course, J9 is an RN and very often the deciding opinion.
I meant no disrespect to you - and I WAS glad to see you!
