    Furnace wiring to thermostat question
I have a rheem rbhc-14j06nfd and a comfort control 2000 thermostat. Its wired like this green wire to G - lite blue to B - orange wire to O - yellow wire to Y - white wire to W - and there is a jumper between RH and RC. Also, there is a red wire that isn't connected and doesn't seem like there is a place to connect it. Can someone tell me where to connect the red wire so that the heat and ac not only comes on, but shuts of automatically when the preset temperature is reached.
    Thank you, Joe

Is this a thermostat you replaced or have moved wires around on the old thermostat? If it's a new thermostat your wiring, how did the old one hook up? All info will help. Not all installers use the same color of wires for commands.

I`ve seen a lot of tstat wires that don`t even have a red wire .as T-top stated everyone doesn`t do as they should, red as to rule of thumb should be hot to rc, but sometimes its not
