    My mother owns a home in Florida with a mortgage. How does she add me to the deed?
    My mother owns a home in Palm City, Florida. She still has a mortgage on it at 83 years old. She would like to add me to the deed. How do we go about that?

    Except in the case of a spouse, one doesn't add a name to a deed. One transfers ownership from the current titleholder to the new titleholders. Since this is a transfer of ownership, there are legal and tax implications involved.
