What do you make of this letter?
    Dear [boy's name],

I am writing to you to warn you to stop being such a jerk. I know we're not friends, but we once were and it just KILLS me that we don't speak anymore and walk around school like the other one doesn't exist.

And surely you've realised you acted like a jerk back in the "innocent" days when we liked each other... wait, did you even like me at all? It's truly awful to tell a girl you like her after she said she likes you when you clearly don't. Did you not think for even a second that saying that would turn things nasty? No, obviously you didn't because you're a total JERK, *******, LOSER, PRICK and ****, and a revolting one with syphilis if anything. I know you think you're this total Sex God who all girls love, but trust me, you're FAR from that.

But seriously, what makes you think you can trust a girl like a worthless sex object and expect her to forgive you a few months later? And then what do you do? You ignore her again even after she's reassured you that things are fine between you? Well, I'm sorry to "disappoint" you, pal, but yes, I am still pissed off at you and will be until you prove me wrong. Just because I'm "immature" and over-exaggerate things does NOT mean that you can still jerk me around after all this time. And if you're jealous that I have a boyfriend, don't go around acting like I "neglected" you... You were the one who just sat there and didn't do anything.

Now grow some balls and stop acting like such a heartless imbecile because one day this will all come back to haunt you and then you'll be sorry.

Well, I'd just like to say, I hope you're happy now.

Honestly the letter is childish! What are you trying to make him open his eyes and come back to you? Just tell him to his face you are done with him and get on with your life. Don't waste your time and paper on him, he is not worth the effort. If you do go back to him after all that has happen then you are asking for this to happen over and over again, and he will see that he can play you every time. Say good rid-dens to him and be done with it. No if's and's or but's!

Well in my own opinion the best way to try and persuade someone into being less of a jerk is not a big 'ol chunk of insults. If anything the letter is more likely to prompt more, and maybe even worse jerk-like actions.

If it makes you feel better to vent onto paper, then go ahead. Sometimes writing down my feelings has helped me, but when you are done - toss them in the trash right along with the thoughts of the guy. Letting someone else's actions eat you up inside is only letting him have what he wants. Not caring about what he says or does, that's the secret to getting under his skin if he's trying to upset you. Not an insulting note.
