    Reinstall tips
By reinstall C: I assume whoever told your this mean to reinstall you operating system. This is done by rebooting you computer with your windows cd in the cd rom drive and booting from it. In order to do this you have to have boot from cd turned on in the bios. (If it is turned on in the bios you should see a boot from cd option appear while booting or something similar.) After you have done this you can basically follow the prompts. Reinstalling is fairly simple as long as you read what is on the screen. Just make sure that you back up your data before reinstalling otherwise you can loose all you word documents, photos and other such files. What is the actual problem you are having with your computer at the moment? You may be able to fix it without a reinstall or you can just do a repair if you are running XP.

Just, *which* program is lost? Re-installing only *that* program may be enough.
