    Statement of retained earnings?
    With a statement of retained earnings how do you know if it is less/add dividends

    Its always add dividend

    You always subtract Cash Dividends.

    You start with Beginning Retained Earnings + Net Income - Cash Divends = Ending Retained Earnings.
