    Swelling Lump Behind Ear
When I was in middle school I on several occasions had a lump form behind my ear and my doctor told me it was simply a pimple. Those have come and gone, but now, in my early 20's, I have another lump. It began forming about a week ago, I dismissed it at first for another pimple but was un able to pop it, I let it go for several more days and it continues to grow. It's very tender and has turned black and blue but I just can't get it to pop like the others. I also don't remember the others being so painful. It's now a little larger then a pea and I am unable to hold a phone to my ear or wear a stocking cap without it hurting. Will this go away or is it something I need to check into? Is it simply a really tough pimple?

    Thank you

Hello. I am a 20 year old Male. I have a nickel sized lump behind my Letf) ear. And had it since I was 13. I got up one morning and it was just there? Anyhow I now am starting to get my wisdom teeth in. No bottoms just the Right Top one is almost fully in. it Doesn't hurt but reciently the lump behind my (Left) ear is starting to hurt And I wonder if this could be cause'd from the wisdom tooth? I went to the clinic a few months ago for the tooth And the Doctor said. She required a dentist for the tooth problem. She looked inn my ear and said everything looks normal. I have had swollen glands in the past. And I had her look at thoes also. She replied they Look normal! I am fairly scard about this situation and don't know what to do? PLEASE ANY HELP WILL BE Wonderful AND CINCEARLY THANKFULL -paul

Lump behind ear [ 1 Answers ]

I've got a lump on my head. On the hairless area right behind my ear. It's about the size of a nickel, kind of hard, definitely not attatched to my skull because I can move it around, and it itches from time to time. I've had it for about a year I guess. Any guesses on what it might be?
