    Why skin lightening?
I've always tried to understand skin lightening?

Don't think that I am being condescending, I'm just curious as to why anyone would want to lighten their beautiful dark skin??

    Please explain

Because they feel better light, just like you feel better dark and whites feel more attractive tan, than pale, the chinese feel more attractive pale than tan, and the indians and some blacks feel more attractive with lighter complexion

I'm dark skinned and beautiful but it seems that no one will even look at me to notice that because I'm dark. They only go for the lighter skinned girls who aren't even pretty and I hate that! It isn't a problem for boys though only girls, I used to get bullied and I'm not even a darker brown my brother got all the girls though

I suffer from uneven skin tone.. I have lightface but dark neck etc so I used lightening creams not because I hate my skin colour but because I want to even out my skin tone

Thr truth is dark skin people envy light skin. And they think that light skin is more attractive. If they did'nt they would'nt lighten.that has always been that mentality since slavery.

The truth of the matter is no matter what you use, your body builds up a tolerance for the product and no longer works. Also skin lightening products can aggervate melain cells to the point that they WILL become refractory.( and skin can become darker than one originally atarted.

Now as for monobenzone. It is only permanent results for those with vitiligo. Because their immune system is already killing off their melain cells. Once a normal skin person stops mono they will regenerate those cells back. Monobenzone is not permanent for normal skin people. You will continue to use mono to keep that light skin just like any other skin lightener.

Here again u are I am not surprised u get such a bad result with your way to be white as nu are so limited do u know that chinese and african women were using some kind of herbal lightening well before slavery and mediterranean women themselves were using skin bleaching and dying there hair blond in order to look like the anglosaxons women!! Some people want to lighten others want to tan nothing wrong with that as long they consider health issues at the same time monobenzone is without contest not right but many safe alternatives ar on the market such as alpha arbutin, licorice, or kojic acid they will brighten or lighten the skin according of which colour u were at the beginning but never expect to be white please why do u think god has make us of different colour? No colour is inferior or superior to the other and we are all beautiful in our own right women from african descent are beautiful, indian women are gorgeous what else do u want more? Yes it is true that african american suffer slavery and it is also true that african and asian also suffer colonialism but does it make us inferior when we fight and gain our independence! People want to be white because they cosider them as the dominant race they have the money and power but now with the emergence of india or china they will definitely change

Skin whitening is not only about making the skin white. Some people here have genuine pigmentation problems and may want to lighten some dark spots. This doesn't mean they hate themselves. I consider plastic surgery a lot more extreme that brightening your skin a bit.
