I was caught shop lifting in Edmonton, Canada
I was arrested for stealing $10, taken to a room and I had to wait until the police showed up. When they did the policeman filled in a form, got photocopies of my health card and told me I could so social service to avoid being having any records, but that I need to answer my phone because the court is going to call me and he will as well on Tuesday. I didn't get a ticket or have my fingerprints taken. What does this mean? how bad are the charges? Do I need a lawyer?
