Is this supposed to equal something or do you just have to simplify it?

Usually with trig identities, they ask you to prove that the Left Hand Side is equal to the Right Hand Side (meaning there's an equal sign and something to prove). Is this the case? Or are they asking you to simplify it?

I can't verify this identity! I'm so stuck. Please help and show full work. Thanks! I'll try to make it look like it does in my book... cos(x) sin(x) - cos(x) - sin(x) = 2tan(2x) cos(x) - sin(x) cos(x) sin(x)
