The bus driver saw me crying?
I am 14 years old and just started high school this year. My uncle died a week ago so I was upset and sad all day. It was my first day back to school on Friday since my uncle dying. I was on the school bus going home and was able to hold in my tears for most of the ride. I am the last person to get off the bus so everyone was already gone.
I couldn't hold in my tears any longer and began to cry. I was sitting in the back of the bus and I guess the bus driver saw me crying through his mirror. I was at my stop already and didn't know that he saw me crying. I was walking towards the front of the bus to get off when he said "Are you ok"? "Why are you crying sweetie"? "What happened"? "What's wrong"?
I said it's nothing I'm fine and got off the bus and dropped to me knees and cried even harder. The bus driver ran off the bus "You're not fine, your crying" "What's wrong"? I told him about my uncle and he said he was so sorry that happened. He hugged me and called my dad so he could pick me up so I didn't have to walked the 2 blocks home crying. I was so embarrassed! The bus driver is good friends with my dad and we have known him for years but I'm still embarrassed he saw me like this! Advice is appreciated!

You have no reason to be embarrassed. You showed a human, loving, caring side of you for your uncle and gave the bus driver the opportunity to show a human, loving side of him by calling your dad and being kind toward you.

The next time you see the bus driver, give him a smile and tell him thank you for taking good care of you. He sounds like he's a very good bus driver who cares about his passengers.

And I'm very sorry to hear about your uncle. It sounds like he added a lot to your life. Uncles can be very special people.

It is his job first to be sure you are OK, not hurt, not being hurt by someone on the bus.

It is also his job to be sure you are safe.

Then as a friend of your dad, he was being responsible.

You should thank him for caring so much. No need to feel wrong about anything
