USB ports won't work
On my Compaq Persario CQ57, any thing I plug into the usb ports don't show up in My Computer. My iPod was what I first noticed, it charged my iPod but it never showed up on the computer, and my thumb drive has a blue "on" light that did indeed turn on when plugged in, but the thumb drive never showed up on My Computer... HELP?

My laptop Mecer, Model No. 755S14 has been working well until yesterday when I used someone's memory stick. After removing it all my USB ports can longer detect anything. I cannot even see them in device manager? What could have happened? How do I restore them? Assist? Ona.
I have a Dell laptop with 3 USB ports. Only one seems to work when I connect my camera. The other two still work with items such as a hard drive. Any ideas?
For some reason when trying to use my mouse on the XP the USB ports do not work. I can't even log on as PC is stuck on the log on window, plus the USB ports are locked too. SO I am using a Vista PC now, but all my documents are on the XP and I need them, at least to backup. Is it a matter of a USB...
Can't get my usb ports to registet.. did a system restore.. I reinstalled everything that I think I need.. problem is I can't get my external hard drives to pickup.im all out of options please sombody help me:confused::confused:
I ger error messages when I plug a device into either port on my PC... Do I have to replace it? If so, is it difficult, and about how much should it cost?. I have very little experience with this type of thing. Thanks.
