I would like to know the procedure that needs to take place...
I will be in vancouver canada in June of 1012 and would like to know how to go about getting married at the courthouse. Are there certain steps one must take? Is there a waiting period? Do we need to apply before the ceremony?

Not sure if it is the same link, Judy beat me to it,

19 years of age, unless parent signs, only one of the couple has to apply, costs 100 dollars

I did not see anything about a "court house wedding" all of the civil non religious weddings are done by commissions

http://www.vs.gov.bc.ca/marriage/vsa730.pdf they get 75 dollars plus milage and have to be scheduled.
