How to ground propane copper pipe?
I'm installing a propane garage heater. The propane tank will be outside with a copper pipe feed to the inside heater. I read I need to ground the copper pipe. How Do I do this? I read I need to ground it to the electrical panel. I've also read I need to ground it to a grounding stake in the ground outside. Which is correct? Maybe both? Neither?
    Thanks

According to the applicable code, 2011 NFPA 58 Liquefied Petroleum Gas Code, Section 6.22.1.3- "Grounding and bonding shall not be required on LP-Gas systems. "

I suggest you check with your local plumbing/heating inspector, which may be a city, town, or state inspector.

Can you provide where you were instructed to ground the copper pipe?

If you have CSST piping (Corrugated Stainless Steel Tubing), then that piping system gets connected to the electrical grounding system by a #6 copper wire at the point of entrance into the building as per 2009 NFPA 54 National Fuel Gas Code section 7.13.2.

    Listen to TK.
I am also curious as to where you heard these things, especially about grounding to an electrode. That one just baffles me.
