Trying to figure my rights as a mother.
I'm 19 my baby father is 21. I got pregnant under some pretty bad circumstances. He never wanted anything to do with her he actually denied her for the longest. He wasn't listed on the birth certificate, but he think that he can now come around and threatn me with shared custody when he never wanted anything to do with her. I want to know what steps should I take to protect my little girl.

Actually, there is not much you can do. By leaving him off the birth certificate, you are requiring him to go to court to enforce HIS rights. But if he does so, then it is likely he will get his rights. Unless you can prove he is a danger to the child he is entitled to be a father.

Its not clear what you are trying to protect your daughter from. A child is entitled to know and have a relationship with both their parents.
