    Heat pump bypass?
    I have a split system heat pump. My outdoor unit has locked up (only hums). Is there a way to bypass the outdoor unit when in heat mode so that only the indoor unit is called upon for heat? The indoor unit is sized large enough to heat the entire home independently.
