    There is are two main growing seasons for plants; in Spring and Mid-Summer. There are many different stages in growth when you are talking about vegetation and fruit. For instance to start with in vegetative stem growth, the cambium (active replicating cells) has to be active first before the xylem and phloem cells (xylem carries water, Phloem carries food) can carry any materials.
