    Dog Peeing in kitchen
Help, my male (neutered) boggle uses a crate, but sometimes I would like to leave him in the kitchen but when I come home from lunch he's already peed on the floor. Typically I won't be gone for more than 3 1/2 hours. I know he knows he done something wrong because when he does this behavior he goes back into his kennel. When he's good, he greats my by the door.

Clearly he is not house trained and just crating isn't training. You need to set up a routine that he can count on. Feed at the same time each day and then walk him or allow outside in a fenced run about 30 minutes later. Praise with words when he does #1 or #2 outside. Never scold a dog for an accident inside unless you catch him in the act. Scolding, even 2 minutes later, isn't going to be connected in his head with the accident.

Perhaps there's a touch of separation anxiety too? A Dogs expert might be interested in weighing in on that.

This is a long process, I did everything to train my dog and found a solution after 3 months of having her. I would get a puppy pad and buy the spray that has odur for the pad so he/she can smell and do her needs. I didn't crate her so my process was longer than someone who did. I personely don't like it. My way they are free and if they can't hold themselves they have an area to do it. As far as if I let her loose I put a dipper on. It showed her that she was not allowed to pee in the house and when I brought her outside I took it off to show her that's where she has to go. Do Not put journal everywhere the dog won't understand she/he will see paper to pee on everywhere they don't understand you need one area, that's it. Also, treats help if he does something in his puppy pad point and say good girl and give a small treat and/or give affection.

    Hope this helps,
