I have no idea what water spots are but this is what I was told I had when I was in Iraq and noticed some clear separated bubbles on my penis. It was about six months into the tour before they appeared and I showed the medic and that's what he told me they where. So when I got back from Iraq I went to get some test done and both times they came back negative. Both doctors I went to said they had never heard of water spots but suggested a special type of lubrication. There is no pain, no discoloration, no colly flower appearance, just two or three clear bubbles whenever I have sex. Like 3 to 7 days after I have sex. Is it the friction and do I need to slow down?

These water spots may be what is know as water blisiters or sweat blisters. The most frequent cause of water blisters is repeated friction, somewhat similar to the blisters that commonly occur on the heel or the foot when someone is breaking in new shoes.

Several other conditions can cause water blisters, too however. Some of them are second and third degree burns, Some viruses such as Chicken pox and shingles, Allergies to substances resulting in contact dermatitis, e.g. Poison oak and ivy, Prickly heat, resulting from exposure to high heat in humid areas, and some sexually transmitted diseases like genital warts and herpes may also form blisters prior to forming itching rashes.

You should consult with your Physician about this matter. He or She may decide to do further testing to rule out the most serious causes such as viruses and STD's.
