Suing insurance company and other driver after car accident?
About a year ago I was rear ended by a DUI with a few priors and he pushed me into the car in front of me. My car was totalled. Through no fault Ive already been reimbursed for lost wages and for what I still owed on my now totalled car. I lost my job because my boss got fed up with me having to leave work so often due to neck and back pain. Now I have a job that pays peanuts and can't afford health insurance. I started seeing a chiropractor, pain management and PT. I stopped pain management because nothing was helping me and PT was pointless because the "turn head left, turn head right" "exercises" were not doing much. I stuck to chiropractic but after a year still have pain 4 out of 7 days of the week. I have some medical records showing bulging disks and whiplash and I am suing the other drivers insurance company but my laywer seems skeptical... it seems chiropractic is not going to get rid of this horrible, disableing pain... my lawyers tell me I can't sue for possible furute medical expenses unless I have a treatment plan of some kind in writing from a doctor... I want to explore more treatment meathods but I have no health insurance and no fault cut me off 6 months ago, so I can't even start to see a different kind of doctor, I don't have the money... any advice? Also... can I sue for pain and suffering? My work life, love life, family life and socail life have changed because this a-hole had to have a drink and then go for a drive... further more, it was his father's car and his father's insurance... can I go after the father? I want to sue the crap outa this guy for all that he has changed in my life... and my lawyer does not seem to be of any help... Im so in the dark and they have so many cases they can't keep mine straight when I talk to them... someone please give me some advice...

What's your attorney doing about this? He should sue everyone involved, kid, father and other insurance company. If you don't have an attorney, get a good personal injury attorney to help you in this matter. The attorney may be able to get you some help medical wise as well as some doctors will work with the injured party on a contingency basis to ensure they can win their lawsuit. And yes, you can sue for pain and suffering and future medical bills.

Whoever your attorneys are, they don't sound like they fully understand your case, Better shop around for another set of attorneys as bulging discs are no laughing matter. Also a chiro is not the best doctor to see when one has bulging discs as they could impinge upon the spinal cord causing horrible pain and possible paralysis if the disc is manipulated wrong.
