I'm curious what the AMHD people think.

There's this sports blog called Barstool Sports—be warned, a lot of the content is NSFW—which started in 2004 and in the Boston market only, but has since grown popular and now covers other cities; spitvenom may be familiar because they have a Philly blog now. So last week, the Blog's owner Dave Portnoy (username el presidente) posts a picture of Tom Brady's two-year-old kid... naked at a beach, with the headline "Check out the Howitzer on Brady's Kid".

I saw this, kind of laughed, but I felt very weird looking at a naked boy, and so did most of the commenters. Later that day, the local sports talk-show, WEEI, blew a gasket on Portnoy saying it was wrong and Brady should seek legal action. Then, he was featured on local news stations, then WEEI banned him from doing on-air appearances. It got enough attention that he appeared on Howard Stern a couple days ago.

He has since removed the post because police actually came to the Barstool office and asked him to remove the post because the police were getting flooded with complaints.

So I ask you, do you think what he did went too far? Bear in mind, the picture was already floating around on the internet so it's not like he released a private photo, and the angle of Barstool is to be crude but funny, similar to Howard Stern.

Yes, he went too far. He involved his minor child -- akin to child abuse and child porn.

That's not funny, its beyond crude, that picture is most likely now some perverts screen saver and the caption is crass at the very least.

Yes, what he did was wrong.

Just because other people have spread the picture does not make his actions any less abhorrent. If anything it makes it worse because he chose to be part of the problem and promote his website instead of standing up and saying a two-year old is off-limits.

I know exactly what slapshot is talking about. It was creepy. And to be honest I felt like a perv just looking at it.

Yup he totally went too far, imagine all the diddlers out there who have this pic and use it for horrible things! I think this not only puts Brady at risk but his son as well.

I remember a few years ago I had a picture of my daughter in the bathtub totally covered in bubbles, not able to see a thing except two little eyes poking out hanging on my bathroom wall. I had a friend stop by and totally ream me out for having child pornography hanging on my walls. I felt really bad about these accusations and have taken the picture down. Later that night I went to my mother’s house, and we looked through a bunch of old photo albums. There a few pages with pics of me and my cousins in the bath together. At the time no one thought anything was wrong with this, now even the idea of having these pics in your house can cause controversy.
But to post a naked picture of a little boy on the internet for all to see, well that is crossing the line, and should be dealt with.
