We have to fill our hearts with hope!

We are living days of global distress, when the whole world seems to go nuts, when events like this week riots in England seem to point out to growing hordes of youngsters with no other aim in this life but to assault, fight, rob and express their hate against order and civilization by provoking disorder and anarchy.

However, next week, from the 16th to the 21st , Pope Benedict XVI will set alight in Madrid the lighthouse that will illuminate the whole world and fill it with hope!
The World Youth Day is a great meeting of young people from all over the world gathering in Madrid to prove the world that the world youth is not rotten, as many would like us to believe.

Well over 2 million youngsters from Europe, Latin America, USA, Canada, India, Australia and, obviously, Spain, will get together in Madrid to show the world that Christianity is well alive and kicking…

The future of our world is open to hope when we are given to see this beautiful show of young people singing to the world, Jesus’ message of love and peace!

Sounds like a wonderful event

It is already. Just in Barcelona, yesterday, a multi-language Mass was celebrated by several foreign Cardinals in the famous temple of the Holy Family. Some 25.000 youngsters (1500 from Germany, led by a Cardinal) attended the celebration. The church is a huge building with capacity for 15.000 people, so another 10.000 had to sit on the floor.
This situation is being repeated in many other cities in Spain and it is expected to reack its pick withy the visit of Benedict XVI in Madrid, next Thursday.
Bearing in mind the religious condition of our present government (socialist and atheist) I think this is quite a big success for Catholicism in Spain.
