Childsupport in the state of virginia
I'm 7 months pregnant. I told my baby father that, when I have my son I want him to pay child support but I want him to have limit visitation rights because I recently found out he is bi-sexual and he didn't tell me. I really need help with this situation..

You cannot dictate anything until the child is born. Then when you get a child support order in place you can move the court to limit his visitation time. Probably won't be granted unless the father is a physical threat to the child. Nowadays lifestyles don't count as a threat. Sorry.

When the child is born you may file for custody of the child and request child support though the courts.

If he would like visits ( or perhaps even joint custody) he would file for that in court also.

You have no choice in what happens, you can only present evidence of why he would not be a good parent. Show he would be a danger to the child.

His life style, either gay or bi may not even be allowed into evidence. If it is, it most likely will not be considered

You can pretty much tell the father anything you want. The only binding decision is that of the Judge. The father would have to be a threat to the child in order for visitation to be limited, supervised or denied.

How long did you know him before you had sex with him? Did he keep his life a secret from you for a lengthy period?

Have YOU been tested for sexually transmitted diseases?

Did it ever occur to you that its not about what YOU want? Did it ever occur to you that the father has rights too? Did it ever occur to you that there are laws that govern these things?

As the others have noted, I doubt if his being bi sexual will have any impact on the courts decisions for custody and visitation. In fact, if you go into court with the attitude you displayed here, you might not even get primary custody. You may wind up being the one paying support and asking for visitation.

I STRONGLY suggest you consult an attorney who can prepare your case properly so you have a chance of winning.
