    "lose" dsl connection
When I use ie7 on the web all is OK. If I don't use the connection for some time it will not connect to any page. Dsl still on. I have to reboot to use the web again. I know the dsl connection is OK and running because I am still using it with another program (no conflicts)

There seemsm to be "issues" with IE& and dsl... unfortunately, I am unable to provide any specifics. Try a different browser (firefox, avant, etc) and see if the problem still occurs. Also, if you are running XP, you can uninstall IE7 and go back to IE6.
