    Mixing ideal gazes and enthorpy
    Mixing ideal gazes and entropy

    I have a question , we we mix 4 ideal gazes, does the entropy change? I though not, because they are -ideal- . But then I started to doubt myself

    The gases were separated (i.e. sorted) before you started, but they were mixed together afterwards. It seems to me that ideal or not, you've increased the randomness of the system. Therefore entropy has increased.
