    Mold (Information, Questions)
What kind of mold is dangerous and what kind of mold is not.

There is a moisture problem and there is mold around the bedroom window. I was in touch

With the public health and all they tell me is try to remove the moisture and clean the mold

With vinagar and soap. Which I did, but now it is back again and seems worse. It is a health

Concern and I want a solution. Should I call public health and get them out to look at it.

    Thank you in advance!

Joe, I was just checking in on my way to school. If you do not get any answers, I will post what I know when I get home this afternoon.

Mold grows on damp or wet surfaces, It is often grey or black, but it can be white, orange or green, mold also includes mushrooms and yeast. Mildew is a common form of mold. If you live near water or the bathroom are is a common place for it to growm. The problem is mold produces spores, that float through the air and get into your lungs, this causes watery eyes, runny noses, sneezing, itching, headaches even asthma. If you have what's considered a "Moderate" problem" that's a area less then the size of a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood. You should try this: Vacuum surface with a vacuum cleaner that has a High Efficiency Particlate Air Filter, scrub or brush the area with a mild detergent, and rinse by sponging celan with a wet rag, repeat and dry quickly. Vacuum the surface again as well as the entire area. For concrete or hard surfaces use 1 cup of TSP (Trisodium Phosphate, 1 teaspoon in 2 gallons of warm water stir for 2 minutes and saturate area leave on for 15 minutes and rinse concrete twice with water, dry as best you can. Keep a fan on the area if there's any question. I would strip, and repaint the surfaces if there painted, weather seal around windows, and remove any plants that are in the room. Try this, worked for me.

Black mold to me is the worst... if you are not careful it will spread through out the house and it happened to me.. I had to put in all new dry wall through out my house... you have to try to control the moistness in the house.. I recommend getting new windows seals to keep the wet out or see if it is coming from a pipe
