Do Provera and Clomid give you short-span brown menstruation?
    Hi!
I am 29 years old. My husband and I are hoping to have a baby. My OB gave me Provera to regulate my menstruation cycle (mine ranges from 30-39 days), Clomid to help me ovulate, and Folic Acid. I did ovulate with Clomid and we made contact on those days when I was expected to release my egg. However, I had my menstruation on the 34th day. I usually have heavy menstruation which lasts for 5-6 days and brown discharge appears only on the very beginning of my period till it becomes red. But this month's menstruation is different. It was brown and hardly filled my tampon on my 1st day (1st days really fill my napkins!) It only lasted for 2-3 days. I had PT and it came out negative. Is brown menstruation the effect of Clomid and Provera intake? Is this implantation bleeding, or just a body's way of getting rid of old blood? My check-up is due next week but I'm dying to know what is this all about. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

I haven't used either of these before myself however have studied a lot of natropathy & my own natropath helped me with conception issues. I was told for 10 years that I couldn't have kids & have just had my baby girl (she's 12 wks).

I would recommend seeing a very good natropath who has a good knowledge of herbs. There are tonics that they can make up for you based on blood test results & iridology (a way of determining what is going on with your body via the iris or eyes). So if there is something specific causing anything (either challenges with conception, unusual periods etc) then they will help.

I will say this - I am very wary of using anything synthetic to help with conception unless all other routes have been exhausted. Reason being is it using toxins and chemicals to get the body to what it does naturally when at peak state.

I have spoken to many wannabe mums and said the same thing; take the time to reset your body back to zero through organic diet, no smoking, drinking, coffee, no drugs or medications (where possible) and good supplements from a natropath plus some herbs specifically for your body. From there, relax, go with it & you'll find you'll conceive when your body is ready to. If you force it through chemicals sooner you may find you have a hard pregnancy or a challenging birth or difficult child in some way.

Eg. I lost a baby last year. Stress was a big thing. It was devastating as I thought I couldn't have another one (coz I couldn't have kids, remember?) but I let things go and just focused on getting healthy again so I could basically take my body back to its natural peak state. I fell pregnant again within 4 months of losing my first baby, and she's a placid, bright, bubbly & smiley baby - no issues at all.

Good luck! Don't worry - you'll get there.
