    Root canals gone wrong?
    I am in the middle of a root canal and have had the worst experience ever. During the procedure, my dentist hit something and I cried the pain was so intense. My face has swollen to twice the size and I am now experiencing bruising. What can I do?

    Tell your dentist it is uncomfortable, possibly he will use stronger meds, Root canals are usually not that traumatic but you have to make your discomfort known.

    Your predicment does not sound normal, In the middle of? A root canal by a professional does not take multiple visits to complete a root canal. Is he an endodontist?

    No he is not an Endodontist. We stopped because the third canal had a huge amount of bacteria that needed to be cleared out and since I was in so much pain, they cleared the bacteria, and put a temp closure on the tooth until my face and I were comfortable enough to continue.
