    What are the symptoms of osteopenia and can u get disability for having osteopenia

    It's lower than average bone density, usually the first sign of osteoporosis. No, it's not disabling. It can lead to broken bones. However, if you have a Physician who will state you are disabled by the condition, will fill out the paperwork and stand behind you, then you could file for disability.
